Safety Rules for Bouncy Castles ⚠️

At Active Softplay, safety and enjoyment come first. These safety rules protect children and adults. Follow them to ensure a safe, fun experience on our bouncy castles.

Age & Supervision 👪

  • Children under 6 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
  • Supervising adults should remain close and watch continuously.
  • Limit the number of users to avoid overcrowding.

Cleanliness & Prohibited Items 🍔❌

  • No food, drinks, or chewing gum on the bouncy castle.
  • No water, soap, washing up liquid, or other liquids on the surface.
  • No sharp objects such as knives, scissors, or toys with sharp edges.
  • No pets permitted on the bouncy castle.
  • No face paint

Behaviour Rules — Prevent Injuries 🤕

  • No rough play, pushing, or horseplay.
  • No flipping, somersaults, or gymnastic stunts.
  • No shoes or socks. Bare feet only to reduce slips and damage.
  • Keep all jewellery, glasses, and loose items off before entering.

Weight Limits & Capacity 📏

  • Maximum weight limit: 100 lbs per person.
  • Adhere to capacity guidelines supplied with the equipment.
  • Evenly distribute weight to prevent deflation or tipping.

Weather & Emergency Procedures 🌧️

  • In the event of inclement weather, evacuate immediately.
  • Do not use the bouncy castle until weather clears and conditions are safe.
  • Follow any on-site instructions provided by Active Softplay staff.
  • Keep a clear area around exits for quick evacuation if needed.

Use Instructions & Compliance 📋

  • Use the bouncy castle only as intended and described in the instructions.
  • Do not attempt repairs, adjustments, or modifications to the equipment.
  • Report any damage, instability, or hazards immediately to the responsible adult or provider.
  • By using the equipment, you agree to follow these safety rules for everyone’s protection.

Booking Checklist — Avoid Day-of Disappointment ✅

When arranging delivery and setup, consider these practical questions. They help ensure a successful setup and safe operation.

  • How big is your garden? Provide dimensions if possible.
  • Is the surface flat and grassed? Soft ground is preferred.
  • How will the team access your garden? Through the house, side gate, or alleyway?
  • Are there any low branches, fences, or obstructions in the setup area?
  • Do you have pets that could interfere with setup or use? Plan to keep them away.
